Founded in 1931, Prew has a long tradition of
excellence. It's no mystery why we are popular with parents and students
- we've had nearly 80 years of practice. That's right, The Prew Academy was
founded in Sarasota in 1931, making it one of the oldest educational
institutions in the county.
Many families in the Sarasota area have fond
memories of their association with Prew.
Our campus is set in 5 tranquil acres,
lending itself to an environment of quiet study.
Prew Academy is a non-denominational,
co-educational, college preparatory day school enrolling students in
grades 6-12.
A hallmark of Prew is the individualized
instructional program with an average student-to-teacher ratio of 8 to
1.
Specific learning disabilities are addressed to
allow students of varying abilities to progress within their own
